Frequently Asked Questions
CLASSES AT BODY OF WORK
-
We cater mainly to adults and welcome students of all abilities, from absolute beginners through to experienced and professional movers. There are a number of classes available at Body of Work to suit different levels and interests.
-
This may be possible. We recommend contacting the teacher directly to check whether they offer trial classes. You can find teacher contact details via the timetable or About page.
-
Classes are booked directly with the individual teacher. Their contact details are listed on the timetable page. Body of Work is a creative space hired by independent teachers and facilitators, which is why class bookings are managed individually rather than through the Body of Work website.

Body of Work is available for casual studio hire, workshops, private sessions, content shoots, special events and regular classes.
Teachers and facilitators can choose from term-based bookings aligned with the NSW school calendar, workshop blocks of six weeks or more, or ongoing weekly bookings throughout the year. Casual hourly hire is also available for one-off sessions and creative projects.

Bathroom facilities and a water filling station are also available.

Limited parking is available within The Depot complex, with additional street parking nearby.
Teachers are allocated one designated parking space during their booking. Students and guests must park only in approved areas, including available street parking and designated spaces within the complex. We ask all visitors to park considerately and avoid spaces belonging to neighbouring businesses.
-
Body of Work is not a staffed venue and does not have a reception desk.
The studio is hired independently by teachers, facilitators and creative practitioners, who are responsible for welcoming their own students or guests and managing their session. Class bookings and enquiries are therefore made directly with the individual teacher rather than through Body of Work.
-
Body of Work operates using a self-access system.
Confirmed hirers receive access instructions before their booking, including information about the studio key and lockbox. Hirers are responsible for opening the studio, welcoming their participants and securely closing the space at the end of their session.
Before leaving, all lights, sound systems, fans and air-conditioning units must be switched off. The door must be locked and the studio key returned to the lockbox.
